很喜歡 LA Style 這個風格 ，所以順手梳理一些脈絡 (根本就是在翻譯 wiki 吧 ~"~) -- Aka. Contemporary hiphop, commercial hiphop, lyrical hiphop, entertainment hiphop, urban dance, choreography etc. LA Style 並不是個被正式認可的名稱，只是當初流行的時候人們為了要討論，所以還是給它一個 label 叫 LA Style，而非全 LA 的人都只跳這種舞，然後東岸都沒人這樣跳的意思。像 Wiki 上面就不是用 LA style 而是 Commercial style/Lyrical hip-hop [1][2] 的條目來編寫。Urban dance 的由來則是因為在之後的發展中 Urban Dance Camp 常邀請 Movement Lifestyle 的老師來教課，這類風格的上課影片在網路上被大家瘋狂轉傳，有些地方的人便用 Urban dance 來稱呼這個舞風。 LA style is not a formal style name.
